Dare to hope...?

Today was amazing. Mark was just about perfect. He ate, was awake awhile and then slept three separate times today! This was huge for me, and it came right when I needed it most. On Friday I will have been "dairy free" for one week, and although we were occasionally having some good times, he has still been so fussy so much of the time that I worried that this two week trial of no dairy for me and the expensive formula for him weren't going to get us to the the solution. It might not, but today gave me hope that it actually might help.

I had time to clean the house some during his first nap, and to work on photos AND make dinner during his third. The second time though, I wasn't here - I had left him with Aunt LeAnne. This was the first time he'd been left with anyone besides Grandma and Grandpa Gibbons, which only happened once during the first week of August. Both times it was so I could go and do a photo shoot. It was a little weird leaving him here with someone else in our house, but I trusted LeAnne - she has two happy and healthy just-about grown kids and I knew she would take excellent care of him, and I was absolutely right. LeAnne was at the hospital for most of the day the day Mark was born, part of the group of family and friends who saw him just minutes after I did!

Here she is with him in the hospital -

And here she is with him at our house today, just over 2 months later!

What a cutie! :) This boy is growing like a weed by the way... I put this 3-month outfit on him today for the first time and had a little bit of difficulty!
