Milligan Homecoming!

We had our 5-year reunion this year at Milligan's Homecoming...

Here's Christan Thomas snuggling with the little guy at the dinner Friday night...

Our little fam in front of the SUB
Amber & Chad with Mark. He's wearing the TWELVE MONTH tshirt that they bought for him. The shirt was a hit, and we were all so surprised when it actually fit him!
John Lawson is practicing...

Dad "Diaper Duty" - David and Larry change their kids' diapers on a coffee table in Sub7. Way to pitch in and help, guys!

David and Mark, and Marc and Avin... Avin is 3 months older than our Mark, and apparently they weigh the same size. What a big guy!

Adventures with Aunt LeAnne...

So Wednesday morning, I dropped Mark off at LeAnne's house for about an hour and a half while I went to do some photos. When I came back, she told me all about what they did... played with the rattle, had a "photo shoot" with her and Ron and also with Ron's parents who stopped by as well. When he got fussy, he got a bottle and fell asleep eating and that's how he was when I came back to get him - asleep on LeAnne's lap on the couch. She said she hadn't even changed his diaper or even checked it, which I said was totally fine because I literally put that diaper on him and drove to her house. Chances are, in that short amount of time if you didn't hear anything, he probably didn't need to be changed.

So I sit on the couch with them and chat, Mark wakes up and is squirming in her lap alot, but seems happy. Ron is working on the laptop on the other couch at this time. We're just talking, and next thing we know, we hear the very unpleasant sound of Mark filling his diaper. Her first response is lift him up off of her lap and we were laughing, until she said that it was all up on his back! Then she discovered it was on her pants! She hands him to me and we realize then that its on my pants. Where was it coming from?? I grab a blanket and take him to the foyer, which is where the diaper bag and the changing pad were. I lay him down and evaluate how to begin this process in their foyer. I start with his socks, which of course, have poop on them. Off they go.Then his pants and his onesie, which basically drags poop all over the changing pad as I'm taking it off of him. LeAnne got me two bags - one for his gross clothes and one for trash - and I'm quickly filling both! His back needed to be completely cleaned off, and when we removed his diaper, lo and behold - there was hardly any poop in the actual diaper! How bizarre. So I almost hadn't even brought a spare outfit, thinking Mark wouldn't need it for that short of time. I'm SO glad that I had one.
Mark and I survived this adventure, let's hope LeAnne's pants did as well! :)

Kristen's Wedding

The whole reason we were in Chicago in the first place this weekend was to celebrate Kristen's wedding!! I was a bridesmaid, and Nathaniel was photographing and stayed with us at the Gibbons' house. Kristen came over on Thursday for a nice long visit (btw, the calmest bride EVER!!), and got to spend some time with Mark.

I was a bridesmaid in Kristen's wedding, so here I am with my little man who was, by the way, dressed in a shirt and tie - precious!!

Here he is, charming the ladies at the table with us...

And stealing a little snuggle with the bride!

Then he got to spend some time with Uncle Nathaniel - who brought him a precious outfit that he bought for Mark in Hong Kong! Can't wait for the little guy to be able to wear it. Thanks Nathaniel!

Dad Cam - our trip to Chicago!

fun times with the markster...

Great Grandmum's Visit!

Last Monday, October 6, Great Grandmum and Wayne came to visit for a few hours! Notice the special sleeper Mark is wearing, it is a 12 month Penn State sleeper! So cute. He wore it that day special for her :) We visited at the house for awhile and played, then they treated us to a tasty lunch at Atlanta Bread Company before they had to get back on the road. Here are some fun photos from their visit!
