It is my pleasure to announce to the world that David Mark Gibbons was born on July 18, 2008 at 10:38 pm. He weighed 9 lbs. 0 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. He is the cutest little guy I have ever seen.
To sum up yesterday, Ali went into labor around 8 am and was awesome during it. She handle to pain amazingly well. In the early afternoon she did have an epidural placed because the pictocin was causing the contractions to severe and her back was hurting so much that it was a losing battle. This was at 5 cm dialated and 5 hours into labor. Then the rest of labor was a breeze. Next came the pushing. Ali pushed for a little over 2 hours and then came the complication. Ali's cervix started to swell and we had to have a c-section. The surgery went well and we had a son. There was a whole host of people waiting to catch a glimpse of the newest addition. We will be posting pictures when we have time. I just can't believe that we are actually here. It is truly amazing. I never thought I would love someone else as much as I love my wonderful and beautiful wife!

Congratulations!! I am glad he's finally here and I'm sure you guys are besides yourselves right now. :-) Can't wait to see pictures! Hope you get some rest when you can... haha.
